Club Functions and Activities
We provide eye care, examination and glasses; to all children,
seniors, and adults in our community who are unable to pay the
necessary costs. We collect used eye wear, hearing aids, and any
and all medical related items that might be recycled. We will train
this year to become First Responders with the Salvation Army. And as
an added service project for this year, we are packing boxes for the
military who do not receive any or very little from home.
Some of our activities include:
- participation in Keep Odessa Beautiful
- the March of Dimes Telethon
- 'Ringing the Bell' for the Salvation Army
- collecting toys at our Christmas Party
Our primary fundraiser is the concession stands at Ratliff
Stadium. We have a contract with Ector County ISD and operate the
concessions for all events throughout the year.
The Rose Day Project is our Spring fundraiser selling and
delivering roses to the community at a bargain price. The monies
raised enables us to expand our community and Lions Camp giving.
We also sponsor and operate The Masters Track
Meet in April which enables track and field enthusiasts of all
ages to participate in this sport.
